The ASX200 started the session up on Friday but then drifted lower into the close as markets continued to be concerned by the Coronavirus. In the end the index ended up only 8.8 points to 7017.2 with gains in the IT, Consumer Staples and Healthcare sectors helping to support the action. Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones by 621 to 546 and 363 ended unchanged.
The ASX200 is expected to open down over 100 points as the SPI200 fell apart friday night following the US lower into the close on Virus fears.
